TURBINE HOUSE FOR AN HYDROELECTIC POWERPLANT

TURBINE HOUSE FOR AN HYDROELECTIC POWERPLANT

The sculpture is derived from the shape of the Kaplan water turbine and represents the energy - generating events as a spatial sculpture above ground. The monumental wing functions as a canopy and forms a landmark.

Part of the power plant construction and spatial sculpture consists of double-curved stainless steel plates, which are welded together and structurally work as a shell.
